“Let us not feel inferior. Let us not be ashamed. Our Boss is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the highest, the greatest. And we are His Ambassadors… We disgrace Christ when we do not live and do not act accordingly as Christians… Love is the driving force behind the truth. Love is the difference maker. Love puts the balance. We cannot go wrong in love.”

These were inspiring words of Bishop Rodel M. Acdal during the Reaffirmation of Allegiance of the 2nd NEPAC Church Workers’ Convocation last February 15, 2024, at the Aldersgate College, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya with a theme: “An Unashamed Worker: Enduring and Standing for Truth anchored in the scripture found in 2 Timothy 2:15.

There were 147 church workers from different districts – North Nueva Vizcaya – West Ifugao District (NNV-WID), South Nueva Vizcaya District (SNVD), Metro Santiago District (MSD), and Quirino District attended the convocation. In the afternoon, Rev. Rodel Claro J. Layugan led a lecture about the UMC Structure – focusing on the future of our church.

The Church Workers’ Convocation was organized by the Board of the Ordained Ministry of the Annual Conference to continuously educate and empower the church workers – making them more effective, stronger, and ready to endure and stand for Truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 NIV “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
