September 22-25, 2026 | Sarangani Highlands Garden, General Santos City

The National Clergy Spouses Association (NCSA) of The United Methodist Church, Philippines Regional Conference successfully concluded its meaningful and inspiring 17th Biennial Assembly held on September 22–25, 2026, at Sarangani Highlands Garden in General Santos City.

With the theme, “THRIVE: Growing in Love, Service, and Leadership,” the four-day gathering brought together 187 clergy spouses from the three Episcopal Areas of the Philippines Regional Conference for a time of worship, fellowship, learning, renewal, and mutual encouragement.

The Biennial Assembly served as a space where clergy spouses were affirmed in their unique gifts, ministries, and vital role in the life and mission of the Church. Through learning sessions, fellowship activities, and moments of refreshment and recreation, participants were able to unwind, be renewed, and return to their ministries strengthened and inspired.

During the closing worship service, Bishop Rodel M. Acdal delivered a message that challenged the clergy spouses to “Thrive, not only survive,” emphasizing that clergy spouses are gifted with God-given abilities and ministries that significantly contribute to the strengthening of families, local churches, and communities.

The Assembly highlighted six guiding commitments:

Trusting God’s Faithfulness

Honoring our Sacred Calling

Reflecting Christ’s Love

Influencing Generations

Valuing Faithful Service

Equipping Future Leaders

The National Assembly continues to be an important avenue for clergy spouses to grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, gain valuable insights, and strengthen their shared commitment to God’s mission. It remains a testimony that when clergy spouses are nurtured and empowered, the whole Church is blessed.

Indeed, the 17th Biennial Assembly was a celebration of God’s faithfulness and a reminder that clergy spouses are called not merely to endure, but to flourish in love, service, and leadership.
