Bishop Rodel Acdal preaches during

the First NWPAC Laity Congress (TIGNAY)

The first-ever Northwest Philippines Annual Conference (NWPAC) Laity Congress, with it’s theme, “TIGNAY”, was held in Santo Tomas United Methodist Church, Candon City, Ilocos Sur on October 3, 2025. The historic gathering brought together lay members from across the conference to celebrate faith, fellowship, and service.

Bishop Rodel Acdal, resident bishop of the Baguio Episcopal Area, graced the event as preacher, delivering a powerful message that inspired the laity to live out their calling as co-workers in God’s mission. His sermon emphasized the importance of lay participation in strengthening the church’s witness and ministry in the community.

The congress featured worship, workshops, and fellowship activities, fostering unity and renewed commitment among lay members of the United Methodist Church in the Northwest Philippines Annual Conference.
