On November 25, 2023, the North Nueva Vizcaya-West Ifugao District (NNVWID) commemorated its 38th Founding Anniversary with a Thanksgiving Celebration at the La Torre Community Center. The celebration was filled with meaningful activities, all of which centered around the theme, NNV-WID@38: Go Forth! Reclaim, Revive, and Renew the Faith!
The festivities began with a fellowship breakfast, accompanied by the singing of Wesleyan Traditional Hymns. Among the highlights were the inspirational testimonies from Ms. Aviegay Via M. Delizo, Mrs. Richelle Ann F. Naguerlin, Ms. Sheila Moana Marie I. Gonzales, and Dr. Serapio O. Castriciones. They shared how God had transformed their Christian lives and blessed them in numerous ways. The heartfelt greetings from Atty. Epifanio D. Galima and an inspirational talk by Rev. Joel G. Domingo, District Superintendent, focused on reclaiming and reviving the life and values of the United Methodists, both encouraged and blessed all attendees.
During the Thanksgiving service, Rev. Jerry P. Dallig from Cordillera Mission District shared an inspiring, challenging, and spirit-filled message emphasizing the heritage of the United Methodist Church. He spoke about the teachings of John Wesley on prayer and fasting, going to church with family, attending Bible studies, sharing the Gospel, and the need to reclaim, revive, and renew the faith of being called the United Methodists for generations to come.
The celebration culminated with a showcase of God-given talents, featuring six District Clusters participating in the UMC Got Talent. Participants displayed their abilities in singing, dancing, playing stringed instruments, and more. The celebration opened doors for strengthened camaraderie and fellowship among churches. The Evangelista Family also sponsored gifts during the celebration.
Finally, the District recognizes that it is only through God’s grace and love that they can celebrate such a joyous occasion.
To Him alone be all the Glory!
